Buyer due diligence
What to require from a US John Deere parts exporter
You are about to send a parts list to a company you have never met, in a country you may never have bought from. Every answer on this page is either published elsewhere on this site — in our terms, on our About page, in the questions on our home page, or on our packing and account pages — or stated here as our working practice, collected in one place so you can check us before you order.
If the answer you need is not on this page, it is because we have not published one yet. Ask us and we will answer it for your order in writing, rather than guess at it on a web page.

Who you are buying from
- Are you an authorized John Deere dealer?
- No. M-Farm is not an authorized John Deere dealer and is not affiliated with Deere & Company. M-Farm is the John Deere® parts desk and export packing yard of Meridian Freight Inc. (FMC 024914NF · IAC WE2412005), based at 2107 148th St in Albion, Iowa since 2013.
- Do you sell only genuine parts?
- No. M-Farm Parts supplies both genuine OEM parts and new aftermarket alternatives. Where both are available for a part number, we show them side by side so you can compare price and pick the option that fits — we confirm availability when you order.
The part number
- Can you look up a part by an old or superseded number?
- Yes. We check superseded numbers and cross-references. If the manufacturer replaced an old part number with a new one, our system helps identify the current part number.
- How do you check fitment?
- Send the part number, the machine model and, if needed, the equipment serial number — we verify fitment before you order.
Availability, quotes and payment
- Do you publish stock levels or a shipping date?
- No. We confirm availability and cost when you order.
- How long is a quote good for?
- Quoted prices are valid for 14 days from the date issued, subject to part availability and final confirmation before order acceptance.
- When am I charged?
- Not at checkout. Your payment method is saved now — you are only charged once we confirm parts availability with the dealer.
Export documents and who files them
- On an export packing job, who files the EEI/AES — you or my forwarder?
- For export packing services, the customer or their designated freight forwarder acts as the U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI) and is responsible for filing Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES). M-Farm and Meridian Freight do not file EEI on behalf of service customers. Your freight forwarder files as usual — we supply weights, dimensions, photos, and the packing list.
- What documentation do I get after a machine is loaded?
- The full pack the day loading finishes: timestamped photos and video of every stage, a packing list, and a reassembly map keyed to the labeled hardware.
- What documents travel with a parts shipment?
- Every parts shipment, consolidated wholesale orders included, leaves with a commercial invoice and a packing list.
- Who files the EEI/AES for my shipment?
- One rule, split by service. For parts orders, Meridian Freight files the Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES) as the U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI). For export packing jobs where the customer or their forwarder is the exporter, the forwarder files.
- How is insurance handled for my shipment?
- The insurance terms for each shipment are stated in writing on the quote before work starts. The certificate is available with the quote on request.
Screening and countries
- Do you screen orders?
- Yes. We screen every order at checkout, and we'll reach out directly if we need anything else from you. Wholesale prices are already open to everyone — a trade account is just for placing orders and fast reorders.
- Are there countries you cannot open a trade account for?
- Yes. Where that applies, the application says so directly: «Export control rules prevent us from opening trade accounts tied to this country. If you believe this is a mistake, contact us directly.»
Packaging, origin and export classification
- Do parts ship in the manufacturer's packaging?
- OEM parts ship in the manufacturer's packaging with the maker's label when they are supplied that way. Aftermarket parts ship in their maker's packaging. Anything repacked for consolidation is marked as repacked on the packing list.
- Do you state the country of origin?
- Country of origin is stated per line on the commercial invoice, taken from the supplier's documentation. If you need it for a line before ordering, ask with the quote request and it is given in the quote.
- Do you classify parts for export control (EAR99 or an ECCN)?
- The export classification, EAR99 or the applicable ECCN, is stated on the export documents for each shipment. A written determination is available with the quote on request.
The clauses in full
The quote validity and export-filing clauses quoted on this page are stated in full, and govern, on our terms page.

Send the parts list you already have — a spreadsheet, a photo of a written list, or pasted text — or look up a single part number.
